Acimex supplied a new generation storage clamp to the building site of  Emisor Oriente in Mexico. This mechanical grip with an automatic latch lock for opening and closing works totally independent of energy resources. The clamp was especially designed for Carso Infrastructuraes and is perfectly integrated into the precasting carousel system. Our engineers significantly increased the load capacity of the grip up to 40 tons. It can thus handle, easily and without contribution of energy, raise, move and deposit eight segments, so one complete concrete ring at once. Besides, the clamp enables to let down the segments into the 125 meters deep access shaft of the tunnel under construction.

40 Years of Vacuumhandling!
Acimex celebrated its 40 years of vacuum handling during the international trade fair Tol' Expo from November 15th to 18th in Paris Villepinte.
This exhibition had been a unique opportunity, to present a world exclusiveness, our new prehensor for tubes and pipes, the STARLIFT 1000. Its exceptional gripping capacities, up to16 tons, for tubes up to 20 meters with a maximum diameter of 58 inches have strongly impressed numerous visitors. Tol'Expo proved Acimex' leadership in terms of sheet gripping by vacuum, in particular, in presenting our range of automatic stacker systems and our famous series of handling devices by operator, MODULIFT. The broadening demand for our products and many collaboration requests underline the importance and dynamics of this industrial activity.

Acimex on STUVA Conference 2011 in Berlin
For the first time, Acimex participated in the exhibition of the STUVA congress held in Berlin.
More than a thousand congressmen primarily coming from Germany, Austria and Switzerland had the
occasion to get information about new products and latest technical developements during their
visit of the exhibition uniting 130 companies within the ICC in Berlin on December 6th & 7th,
2011.
Acimex fully benefitted from this large meeting of decision makers and engineers in order to
present its large product range of handling solutions. The visitors' interest focussed in
particular on vacuum handling systems for precasted concrete segments.
On the basis of these relations, Acimex will be present at the next congress of the STUVA in 2013!

Premiere for ACIMEX on the International Congress of the French Tunnelling Association in Lyon
For the first time Acimex time presented itself to the technical exhibition during the International Congress of the French Tunnelling Association (AFTES) in Lyon from October 17th to October 19th.
We would like to thank our visitors, who discovered our products in the field of handling heavy loads, in particular tunnel segments. “The AFTES congress is an excellent event to make us known as a manufacturer of TBM-erectors or the safe handling of segments," summarizes Philippe Kersimon, sales director of Acimex, “at the same time, we had the opportunity to meet all the major actors involved in tunnel construction, which is very important and enriching for us and our engineers.”

Our main focus during the 4th International Hoisting Machinery & Fittings Exposition (IHMFEC) in Shanghai had been on the presentation of our standard products of our Modulift range, vacuum devices for gripping even and flat products up to 6 tons. These products are assembled and partly manufactured in the factory of our asian head office, CBE Groupat Yangling. The most remarkable and important point for us had been the outstanding curiosity of chinese visitors for our vacuum handling systems.
The IHMFEC is one of largest the industrial trade fairs in this domain with approximately 400 exhibitors coming from more than ten countries and presenting their products on 20,000 m ² exhibition surface this year.
